Accessibility

Our target
We aim for WCAG 2.1, level AA, for berrymap.app, the app for businesses and candidates, and the career sites we host.
This is a target, not a certification: no outside body has checked BerryMap.
What we do
- On every change to the product, the screens of the app and its components go through automated accessibility checks before going live: contrast, names and roles of elements, field labels.
- Everything works with a keyboard, and where you are stays visible. A link at the top of the pages goes straight to the content.
- Text reads against its background: a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for body text. On a career site, the colours the business picks are adjusted to keep it.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative; decorative images are skipped by screen readers.
- Your device's "reduce motion" setting is respected.
What may still get in the way
Automated checks do not find everything, and they do not yet run on the pages of berrymap.app or of career sites. And what a business adds itself is not always accessible: a document attached to a job (a PDF, for example), a photo with no description.
Career sites
Each career site has its own Accessibility page, linked at the bottom of its pages. The platform is our responsibility: the pages, the forms, the keyboard, colour contrast. What the business adds — its texts, photos and documents — is its own.
Tell us about a problem
If something blocks you on BerryMap, write to soutien@berrymap.app. Tell us the page and what does not work.
For an accommodation during hiring, write to the business: the Accessibility page of its career site says how.
